Dr Nivedita Narain, Chief Executive Officer
Dr Nivedita Narain is a development professional with nearly 35 years of experience as an organization builder, researcher, teacher, and trainer. Her work is driven by a commitment to social equality and collaborative work across institutions: government, non-profits, academia, and business. She worked with PRADAN from 1987, apart from short stints at the World Bank and with community organizations in the US. Having made pioneering contributions to the establishment of India’s first SHGs, she has worked in the area of gender, livelihoods, organization development, and human resources management for non-profits, setting up development practice as an academic discipline, research, and advocacy. During her career, she has consulted with business organizations and partnered with Indian and international philanthropic foundations, non-profits, social enterprises, universities, and research institutes.
Nivedita has a Ph.D. in management from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, a Masters in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand, and a Masters in Development Policy from Cornell University.
She is an adjunct faculty member at the Charles Sturt University (CSU), Australia, and has been Erasmus Mundus Fellow at the Georg August Universitat Gottingen (GAUG); Atlantic Fellow at the International Inequalities Institute at the London School for Economics and Political Sciences; O’Brien Fellow at the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism at McGill University in Canada; and a Senior Fellow and Member of the Advisory Committee at Ambedkar University Delhi.

Amit Mathur, Chief Financial Officer
Amit Mathur is a hard-core finance and management professional, with a strong commercial acumen and brings with him rich 25 + yrs. of experience. His diverse experience includes his exposure to key functional aspects i.e. strategic operational planning and financial management, business strategy development, govt. liaison, process re-engineering, supply chain, systems implementation, conceptualization of policy framework & internal/ external controls including audits / fraud & risk management, statutory compliances, corporate governance aspects within varied industrial environments. His strategic experience also includes key aspects of human resource management, which including talent retention & change management.
He is a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Cost Accountant (ICWA) also holds prominent management degree of MBA-Finance with diverse exposure of having worked in both commercial as well as development sector. His key past assignments includes renowned multinational organizations like Pfizer, HCL as well as international development sector organizations like USAID, PSI, Marie Stopes International(UK), and his recent stints as CFO with Aga Khan & Bharti group. In past Amit has held prominent leadership positions including his role as Regional Director-South Asia and has served as trustee and board member for leading international organizations.
Amit has undergone multiple advance level professional mentoring sessions which include corporate fraud detection and forensic accounting by NCCI, Leadership under turbulence by AIMA, advanced financial management workshop by Centre for Public Management, Bangkok and USAID financial management & compliance training by Inside NGO, Vietnam.
He has been member of prominent professional bodies i.e. All India Management Association (AIMA), Delhi Management Association (DMA), Centre for Public Policy (CPP) and is also part of multiple Core groups, CFO & CEO forums wherein he is often invited for brainstorming sessions and deliberations on strategic functional aspects as speaker.
