Grantmaking

The CAF India Small NGO Capacity Building Grants Programme was established in 2004-2005 to help raise resources for the not-for-profit sector in India.

The Grants Programme is a unique cutting edge grant for capacity building. It provides support to CAF partners to help them achieve long-term self-sustainability and focuses on innovative approaches and models in the areas of:

  • income generation
  • micro finance
  • livelihood promotion

The following organisations received support under our Small NGO Capacity Building Grants Programme in 2005-06:

  1. The Richmond Fellowship Society, Bangalore - for vocational training for people with developmental disabilities
  2. CHIRAG, Uttranchal - for livelihood promotion of women working in agriculture
  3. Hope Project Charitable Trust, New Delhi - for upgrading women's income generating skills
  4. Deepalaya, New Delhi - for infrastructure and training support for garment workers
