Prudential
Keen to extend and replicate its successful UK based volunteer programme, Community Pru, to Mumbai, insurance giant Prudential approached CAFIndia's consulting and advisory team. Community Pru seeks to set up partnerships with charitable and voluntary organisations and educational establishments with the objective of building relevant and sustainable relationships with the communities within which it works.
CAF India carried out a feasibility study for developing a volunteer's programme in Mumbai. It identified charities that provide support to the elderly and also those that support educational opportunities for children. It outlined the broad needs of a volunteer programme by matching the volunteer requirements of the identified charities with the volunteer skills of Prudential employees.
Larsen and Toubro
In October 2005 Larsen and Toubro (L&T) commissioned CAF India to identify prospective community development programmes in and around their factory site located at Faridabad. The study was commissioned to review the feasibility of supporting community projects with CAF India validated charity partners around the L&T factory site. CAF India identified the 'social need' within the community for these projects and recommended both short and long-term projects that L&T could support.
The Ford Foundation
The Ford Foundation engaged CAF India to explore the feasibility of setting up a South Asia Grantmakers' Association.
The Bertelsmann and Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation
The Bertelsmann and Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation commissioned CAF India to conduct a feasibility study to explore the setting up of Community Foundations in Chennai, Bangalore and the National Capital Region of Delhi.
Baxter International Foundation
CAF India has been retained to incubate a Chronic Care Foundation with seed funding of US$ 0.5 million from the Baxter International Foundation. The focus of the Chronic Care Foundation is on critical health care issues dealing with medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular and renal diseases.
Goldman Sachs
CAF India together with CAF UK provided research and consultancy services to Goldman Sachs to help them identify community investment projects for support during the period 2005-2006.
