Our corporate partner, Coca Cola India realises that one solution to the water problem facing India has been the coupling of community based water conservation techniques which use conventional wisdom with latest advances in technology.
Historically societies relied on natural or manmade water bodies as their primary sources of fresh water.
Most of these have fallen into disrepair. This year CAF India helped identify one such project for Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd that aimed at repairing and restoring a historical pond at Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, amidst a group of heritage sites including the world famous Buddhist Stupa.
