CAF India devised a two-staged relief and rehabilitation strategy. The first phase focused on providing immediate relief and the second phase focused on long-term goals of providing livelihood and infrastructure support.
As in all natural disasters that impact human populations, providing immediate relief was the need of the hour. Given our experience with rehabilitation during earlier disasters, the organisation was approached by individuals, corporations and foundations expressing solidarity and support.
