Thematic Fund for Chronic Health Care

The CAF India Thematic Fund for Chronic Health Care operates as a robust and action oriented donor fund aimed at promoting the commitment of all stakeholders and institutions in the chronic health care sector.

The fund focuses on support of prevention, vulnerability reduction, treatment, care and mitigation of the impact of chronic diseases.

Objectives

The objectives of the Thematic Fund for Chronic Health Care are to:

  • improve the quality of life for patients with chronic diseases by supporting and facilitating family-centered, institutional and community based strategies and programmes
  • integrate health innovations in early detection of chronic diseases through already existing solutions and research and help strengthen the management of chronic health care facilities in rural and urban areas
  • help create an enabling and sustainable policy, legislative and resource environment for successful identification and implementation of national strategic chronic care plans with effective use of donor funding
